Kennedy Adeorgba

For my service hours, I decided to volunteer at Franklin First United Methodist Church’s Giving Garden. At the Giving Garden, we serve to provide healthy and nutritious food to those who don’t have access to fresh produce. Throughout my time in the garden, I realized how a tiny seed could grow and bear vegetables that would help feed hungry mouths. In my research, I will look at the planning and impact of community gardens and their relationship to Maslow’s hierarchy of needs. At the end of my research, I hope to gain a better understanding of just how entwined gardens are in my local community.
