The Ensworth Athletics Program encourages students to grow through both triumph and defeat and teaches lifelong skills including discipline and teamwork.
At all grade levels, fitness is incorporated into the curriculum to help students cultivate healthy lifestyles.

Lower School students participate in daily Physical Education classes and enjoy outside playtime and recreation. Middle School students continue regular P.E. and have the opportunity to represent Ensworth on athletic teams.

High School students participate in a unique fitness program built into the curriculum. Each student has an individualized program and spends at least three hours per week with skilled instructors in the state-of-the-art fitness center.

Ensworth's Middle School competes in the Harpeth Valley Athletic Conference (HVAC). Middle School teams are fielded in 18 sports, with 95% participation. High School teams include 18 TSSAA-sanctioned sports, plus swimming and diving, cheer, mountain biking, ice hockey, and lacrosse.

"We seek not to find our value in the score on the board, rather in the intensity of our effort, in the depth of friendships created, and in the excellence of our attitudes."
