Students Attend Two-Day Race and Leadership Conference

Representatives from each high school class will attend “Tearing Down Walls: Southeastern Conference on Race and Leadership” for independent school students in the Southeast, June 22-24 at Vanderbilt University in Nashville.
The conference website explains that the conference’s purpose is “to afford students from diverse racial and socio-economic backgrounds the opportunity to become leaders and bridge builders in the arena of race relations.” The National Center for Race Amity at Wheelock College in Boston, Massachusetts is sponsoring the event.
