Youth In Government

From March 30 to April 2, Ensworth High School participated in the YMCA Youth in Government Conference. Our 14 students presented 6 bills, and got 4 of those bills to pass both the house and the senate. An impressive 2 of their bills were then signed into law. This is the first year Ensworth was able to get 2 bills made into laws in a single session.
With 225 bills submitted during the conference, only 29 bills were made into laws - and 2 were from Ensworth. Now that is something to celebrate!

On top of our team success, John Smalley and Jack Cahill won best bill in the Blue House.

The seniors who were members of the advanced legislative group included Carter Pankow, Nathaniel Taylor, Lucy Sohr, and Danielle Chari. Seniors Wyatt Mullowney and Sarah Hooton participated as members of the Governor's cabinet.

The other legislative participants included John Smalley, John Cahill, James Kent, Grant Hollomon, Thomas Awad, Jackson Buschmann, McAllister Mason, and Andy Garside.

Way to go, Tigers!
