Diversity in the Arts

Diversity in the Arts III - Arts and Community Coming Together!
The Diversity in the Arts panel discussion came back in April, along with an exhibition featuring artists Elise Kendrick, Jasmine Moseley, and Elisheba Mzroik. Each was part of the recent Tennessee Triennial, the statewide celebration of Contemporary Art focusing on Tennessee’s existing visual contemporary art scene while fostering a connection to the broader contemporary art world.

The Arts Department was excited to have the opportunity to follow up this once-every-three-year art experience with our own exhibit of three of these local artists, who also took part in a moderated lunchtime panel discussion. The event celebrated diverse perspectives and populations with art and conversation, celebrating memory, joy, togetherness, and inclusion through the incredible work of these three women and the stories we share. Art will be on display in the Ingram Arts Center gallery through May 5!
