China Daily, a global publication with nearly 1 million in circulation, featured a photo of a group of nine Ensworth AP Chinese students with four students from Yuying High School in Nashville’s sister city, Taiyuan.
The students from Taiyuan visited the Frist Campus on February 11 during their trip to Nashville over their New Year’s holiday. The sister city program has linked the two cities since 2007, but Tennessee’s relationship to Taiyuan’s Shanxi province in northern China goes back to the 1980s.
Ensworth has also sent students on reciprocal visits to Taiyuan, including Serena Howard '19 and Claire Chidsey '21 in June.
