Ensworth's High School Girls’ Swimming & Diving Team finished third at the TISCA State Championship Meet. The Girls’ Swimming & Diving team won four individual State Championship events. The Boys’ Swimming & Diving team finished 8th to help Ensworth repeat as the combined State Runner-Up.
In addition to our High School students spreading out into the Nashville community on Service Day for special projects, some students remain on campus to work on service projects and hear from special guests. Two such guests, the Civic Design Center and Camp Horizon, enlightened students on their particular missions this past Service Day.
The Middle School Girls' Basketball team had a special guest to help get them ready for their tournaments. Kelly Hobbs, a mental performance coach, spoke to the girls about "growth mindset" and other key areas in preparation for their tournaments.
Congratulations to the following students who earned Optime Merens honors during the first semester of the 2023–2024 academic year. Students earn Optime Merensby achieving an overall GPA of at least 90 for all of their academic courses in a semester and who have no individual academic semester grade below 80.
The Scholastic Art & Writing Awards and the Middle Tennessee Regional Student Art Exhibition recognized the outstanding work of student artists. This year, 19 of the works cited for awards came from Ensworth students from Grades 7–12.

At Ensworth, a robust offering of clubs and activities provides a wide variety of opportunities for students to follow their passion through extracurricular life. These programs represent a variety of interests, including service club, pickleball, cooking, and entrepreneurship. Each fall, the High School hosts a Club Fair for students to learn about the clubs and join their favorites.
Ensworth actors, musicians, and student designers took to the stage this fall in a gorgeously rendered, music-infused interpretation of Oscar Wilde’s An Ideal Husband.
This year’s Middle School musical, Beauty and the Beast, Jr., was a memorable and sensational production for all involved. The impressive theatrical performance was immensely comedic, beautifully designed, and exceptionally enacted by our talented Middle School students. It showcased the performing arts program through a lively event and as an impressive educational experience that highlighted our students using and evolving their talents to the fullest.

Last Spring, after conversations with the Ensworth administration, Parent Association leadership allocated funds to support High School dances during the 2023-2024 school year. As envisioned by all involved, the plan was to make each dance the highlight of the students' evening rather than a quick "stop" between pre-dance dinners and post-dance social gatherings.
Ensworth is committed to providing our students with access to the latest technology and an expert faculty. The new Creative Technology Center at the High School, featuring an engineering-oriented instructional space, a full-service broadcast suite and control center, a dedicated home for the Robotics team and arena, a podcast studio, and a well-equipped digital media and computer science classroom, opened in the fall of this year.
Martin Luther King, Jr. is a name that has become synonymous with words such as dream, social justice, nonviolence, and civil disobedience. Still, words can only retain their meaning if they are put into context. This week, Ensworth parent Dr. Richard Thigpen shared context through his experience living in Chicago and about Martin Luther King Jr.'s influence on his life.
