Mauricio Antun | Director of Tennis

Mauricio Antun joined Ensworth in January 2024 as Director of Tennis, bringing a background as an elite player and coach. Originally from Brazil, Antun reached the top 300 in the ITF Junior Rankings and held an ATP professional ranking before starting college at Virginia Tech. He later became a standout at Belmont University, where he was named the 2014 OVC Player of the Year and set records for victories and conference winning percentages. Following his playing career, Antun served as Director of Tennis at Belmont for five years, leading the program to two NCAA tournaments and earning back-to-back OVC Coach of the Year honors. At Ensworth, he prizes the tight-knit community and pride within the Tiger family. Off the court, Mauricio enjoys golf, sporting events, and time with his family.

Matt Decker | Associate Director of Tennis


Matt joined Ensworth in 2013 and currently serves as the Associate Director of Tennis and Assistant Coach for the varsity teams. With over 25 years of experience and a B.S. from the University of Nebraska, he is highly certified in USPTR Performance, 10 & Under, and 11–17, as well as TPT with the International Tennis Performance Association. Having previously served as Director of Tennis at Westside Athletic Club, Matt has coached players to Southern and National levels, led middle school teams to multiple HVAC championships, and mentored two individual high school state champions. He resides in Brentwood with his wife and daughter.

Zach Zola | Tennis Professional


Zach is a Nashville native, growing up playing juniors in the south and eventually going on to play and coach at Belmont University. With 20 years of coaching experience (9 with Ensworth), Zach has worked with players of all levels, from juniors honing their skills all the way through the collegiate level, to adults pursuing their passion for the game. Zach strives for an environment of fun and enthusiasm, problem-solving, technical development, and a desire for tennis to be a lifelong passion.

Jake Briggs | Tennis Professional


With over 18 years of experience on the court, Jake grew up immersed in the highly competitive Georgia tennis scene, competing extensively in USTA tournaments. This lifelong journey in the sport allowed him to develop a sophisticated understanding of match strategy and technical precision. Today, Jake focuses his passion on helping aspiring players build on-court confidence and reach their full potential. His coaching style is rooted in personalized training, ensuring that each student receives a tailored approach to mastering the fundamentals and strategy of the game.

Miles Jackson | Tennis Professional


A former 5-star recruit and top 75 national junior player, Miles brings elite competitive experience to the Ensworth team. After claiming second place in the 2016 state tournament for Ensworth, he trained at the renowned No Quit Tennis Academy in Las Vegas under some of the nation’s top coaches. His coaching style blends modern instruction with high-level playing insights, focusing on smart decision-making, strong fundamentals, and long-term development. Miles works with everyone from beginners to USTA/UTR competitive athletes, helping each player maximize their potential and build lasting confidence.

Robert Anderson | Tennis Professional


Robert began tennis at age 8, advancing through regional and national tournaments. He earned All-American status as a high school freshman before receiving an athletic scholarship to Rice University, including wins over the NCAA Division I Champion. He competed on tennis tours throughout the U.S. and Canada. His career includes head coach at a Southern California high school, a full-time teaching professional at a junior tennis academy in Seattle, and Director of Tennis at a private club. His philosophy emphasizes fundamentals and an enjoyable experience for all levels.

Alex Pinkston | Tennis Professional


Alex Pinkston is a Nashville-based tennis coach at Ensworth Tennis Center who is passionate about introducing new players to the game while helping all athletes grow and succeed. He specializes in working with beginners, creating a supportive and engaging environment that builds confidence and strong fundamentals from day one. A former NCAA Division I athlete, Alex combines high-level experience with a patient, personalized coaching style. He is a PTR Level 2 Certified coach and holds USTA Safe Play and officiating certifications, focusing on long-term development, sportsmanship, and a lifelong love of tennis.

Owen McCarter | Tennis Professional


Owen is a dedicated tennis professional who balances four years of collegiate playing experience with a diverse coaching background in USTA and UTR organizations. Having coached at both the school and community levels, he has experience working with all ages, from young children to adults. His approach focuses on building technique from the ground up while emphasizing a positive mindset and high energy to create well-rounded athletes. Owen’s goal is to help players improve their match-play tactics while fostering a genuine, lifelong love for the game.
