E Sports Camps offer a variety of Winter Break camps for girls and boys in Grades K-8. Try out a one- or two-day program and improve your skills while having a great time! All camps, with the exception of the half day All Sports Camp, will be held on Ensworth's High School Campus. Pick up and drop off will be at the black tent between Daily Stadium and Elcan Athletics Center. Staying for a morning and afternoon camp? Add our lunch option, and we will keep your camper for the hour in between camps and feed them a pizza lunch. Don't miss out on all that E Sports Camps have to offer this winter break!

  • Dodgeball Camp: December 6

    Date: Friday, December 6
    Time: 3:00-8:00 p.m.
    Ages: Grades 1-5
    Cost: $80
    Location: Frist Campus — 7401 Highway 100 (bus transportation available)
     Join Coach Perkinson and Coach Bradley for more of Dodgeball Camp. Campers will learn the rules of dodgeball, as well as skills to compete at the highest level. Dodgeball games such as “House Rules,” “Medic,” “4-Way,” “Jedi,” “Battlefield,” and more will be played. Pizza dinner included in the cost.

  • Football Lineman Camp: December 14

    Date: Saturday, December 14
    Time: 12–2 p.m.
    Cost: Free
    Ages: Grades 3–8
    Location: Frist Campus — 7401 Highway 100
    Learn from Head Coach Roc Batten and the Ensworth football coaching staff on improving your football skill level. This offensive/defensive lineman camp will focus on the fundamentals of stance, footwork, speed, agility, quickness, blocking techniques, hand placement, and pass rushing skills. The camp also will include improving overall football knowledge through fundamental stations, position drills, and competition.

  • Hip Hop Dance/Cheer Camp: January 2–3

    Dates: Thursday–Friday, January 2–3, 2020
    Time: 9:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.
    Ages: Grades K–5
    Cost $100 for Both Days
    Location: Frist Campus — 7401 Highway 100
    Join us for some groovy fun as we get down at the Hip Hop Dance/Cheer Camp! This camp will include high-energy dance choreography, cool tricks, and dance games for Grades K–5. Campers will also learn cheers, jumps, basic tumbling, and basic stunting to help improve their foundation in cheer.

  • Holiday Co-Ed Basketball Camp: January 2–3

    Dates: Thursday–Friday, January 2–3
    Time: 9 a.m.–12 p.m.
    Cost: $100 for both days
    Grades K–8, coed
    Location: Frist Campus — 7401 Highway 100
    Coaches Mary Taylor Cowles and Bradley Pierson will lead and instruct this 2-day Fundamentals Camp, which will teach younger campers and campers new to basketball the basic fundamentals of shooting, dribbling, passing, and proper offensive and defensive footwork.

  • Mary Taylor Cowles

    Mary Taylor Cowles joined Ensworth in 2015 as the Head Girls' High School Basketball Coach. She also serves as Assistant Athletic Director. She attended Western Kentucky University where she played college basketball for 4 years. After graduating college, Mary taught in the public school system at the secondary level for 2 years before returning to 'the Hill' (Western Kentucky University) to join the women's basketball coaching staff. She served as the Recruiting Coordinator from 1994-1997, Associate Head Coach from 1997-2001 and Head Coach from 2002-2012. During her head coaching tenure, Cowles was named Coach of the Year 3 times, served terms on the NCAA Kodak All-American Selection Committee, served as the Sun Belt Conference Captain, and served on the NCAA Division 1 Legislative and Issues Committee. Under the direction of Coach Cowles, the Ensworth Girls' Basketball program won the State Championship in 2017 and 2019.

  • Allison Perkins

    Allison Perkins is a Nashville native. She graduated from Ensworth high school where she played multiple sports. She continued on to Tennessee Tech where she cheered collegiately and graduated with a degree in elementary education.  Her passion to cheer has lead her to coaching. She is currently finishing up her 6th year coaching competitive cheer. In addition to competitive cheer, she has coached high school cheer for 2 years.

  • Chris Bradley

    Chris Bradley joined Ensworth in 2009 as an Assistant Athletic Director and became the Head Wrestling Coach in 2011. A Nashville native, Chris began his tenure as a teacher and coach in private education in 1997. He attended Middle Tennessee State University and received a B.S. in Political Science and holds a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration from Tennessee State University. He and his wife Ashley have two children, Maddie and Drew.

  • Roc Batten

    Roc Batten was announced as the Ensworth Head Varsity Football Coach in 2019. In addition to his role as Head Football Coach, Roc also serves as the Associate Director of Admissions for the high school. The appointment marked a homecoming for Coach Batten, as he was a member of Ensworth’s faculty and staff in the high school’s early years.

    Roc originally joined Ensworth in 2005 and was Defensive Coordinator on the coaching staff that led the Tigers to their first Football State Championship. In addition to his coaching responsibilities, Coach Batten was the school’s inaugural Director of Service Learning and was integral in developing the curriculum and international service programs. In his six years at Ensworth, he also served as an Admission Assistant, Track Coach, and Director of Summer Programs.

    Roc attended Vanderbilt University where he earned his BS in Human and Organizational Development, M.Ed. in Educational Leadership, and played football. As a member of the football program he was a 2-year starter and a member of the Academic All-SEC Team his sophomore and junior season. During the 1998 season, Roc was voted team captain by his teammates but his career was cut short due to a neck and arm injury. During that season, Roc started his coaching career and spent five years on the Vanderbilt coaching staff. After his time at Vanderbilt, Coach Batten was an assistant football coach at MBA and a part of two State Championships. Most recently, Coach Batten was the Head Football Coach, Associate Director of Admissions, and Director of Camps at Battle Ground Academy for 8 years. Coach Batten was recognized as the DII-A Coach of the Year in 2016 and received the Middle Tennessee Chapter National Football Foundation Bonnie Sloan Courage Award. During Coach Batten's coaching tenure, he has had the pleasure of coaching 46 players that played collegiate football and 8 players that played in the NFL.

    Roc and his wife Sone-Serae have three children Aliyah, Isaiah and Makaylah.
