Cooper Berry's '34 Original Song Selected for Country Music Hall of Fame Showcase

Student songwriter Cooper Berry selected

Creativity took center stage this spring for Ensworth fourth grader Cooper Berry, whose original song “Bluebird” was selected for performance at the 47th annual Words & Music Night on Monday, May 11.

Cooper, a student in Ms. Earhart’s class, wrote the song as part of Ensworth’s songwriting unit through the school’s partnership with the Country Music Hall of Fame. The program gives students the opportunity to explore the creative process behind songwriting while developing their own voices as writers and storytellers.

Out of participating student submissions, “Bluebird” was one of just fourteen songs selected to be featured during the annual showcase. As part of the experience, Cooper worked alongside professional songwriting partners Giselle and Erik, who composed music to bring his lyrics to life.

The selection is a special recognition of Cooper’s creativity and storytelling and highlights the power of hands-on learning experiences that encourage students to express themselves in meaningful and memorable ways. Congratulations to Cooper on this exciting accomplishment.
