Three Ensworth Seniors Named National Merit Semifinalists

We are thrilled to celebrate three members of the Class of 2026, James Heinrichs, Hudson Honeybone, and Julia Grace Linn, who have been named National Merit Semifinalists.

Each year, more than 1.3 million juniors across the country enter the National Merit Scholarship Program by taking the PSAT/NMSQT. From that group, only about 16,000 students, less than one percent of U.S. high school seniors, earn Semifinalist status. These students now have the opportunity to continue in the competition for nearly 7,600 National Merit Scholarships worth over $33 million that will be awarded next spring.

To become Finalists, James, Hudson, and Julia Grace will complete an application that highlights their academics, leadership, activities, and accomplishments, along with an endorsement from the school. About half of all Finalists will eventually earn a National Merit Scholarship.
