Rae Turberfield '28 Wins First Place at National History Day Regional Competition

Rae Turberfield '28 earned first place in the Individual Exhibit category at the National History Day regional competition for her project, Red Lipstick Revolution.

Her exhibit explores the role of makeup and the shifting status of women in the workforce during World War II, examining how lipstick became a symbol of resilience, identity, and cultural change during a pivotal moment in American history. Rae developed the project in her American history course with Dr. Young.

With her regional victory, Rae advances to the state competition on April 18. State winners will move on to the national competition in Washington, D.C., in June.

Congratulations to Rae on this outstanding achievement! We look forward to cheering her on at the next level!
