High School Student Speaker Series in Full Swing

High School Student Speaker Series in Full Swing

As April begins, our High School Student Speaker Series is in full swing at Frist Campus. This series provides our students with a platform to take the stage and speak about topics they are passionate about, or wish for their peers to explore further.

Hailey Darkwa ’25 addressed the issue of mental health, highlighting the struggles individuals can face during times of adversity. She emphasized the importance of never knowing the full extent of what someone is going through and encouraged her peers to approach others with compassion and understanding.

Gabriel Dean ’26 led a discussion on disabilities, focusing on how we can better approach and support those with different conditions. Gabriel explored the origins of disabilities, from birth through developmental stages, and shared personal insights gained through his experiences with his loving sister. He also offered guidance on how best to interact with individuals who have disabilities.

We are incredibly proud of Hailey and Gabriel for their passionate presentations, as they informed and inspired their peers on these important topics. Way to go, Tigers!
