Dominic Bachmann '30 Recognized with Congressional Award Bronze Medal

At Ensworth, students are encouraged to pursue meaningful challenges that foster growth, service, and leadership. For Dominic Bachmann '30, that commitment recently led to an impressive achievement: qualifying for the Bronze Medal level of the The Congressional Award Foundation Congressional Award.

Established by the United States Congress in 1979, the Congressional Award is the nation’s highest honor for young Americans earned through initiative, achievement, and service. The nonpartisan, voluntary program recognizes students who set and accomplish personal goals in four areas: voluntary public service, personal development, physical fitness, and expedition or exploration activities.

To earn the Bronze Medal, participants must complete a minimum of 200 hours across the program’s categories over at least seven months, demonstrating sustained commitment and perseverance.

Dominic’s accomplishment reflects not only his dedication and work ethic, but also his willingness to challenge himself through service and personal growth. The Congressional Award is unique in that students are not nominated or selected; rather, they earn each level through consistent effort and self-directed achievement.

Dominic plans to continue working toward the program’s higher levels, which include Silver and Gold Medals. Ensworth celebrates his achievement and applauds the initiative, discipline, and leadership he has demonstrated through this nationally recognized program.
