Paralympic Track and Field Athlete Visits Ensworth

This summer, Amaris Vazquez Collazo, a Paralympic track and field athlete representing Puerto Rico, stopped by Ensworth to test a new prosthetic. She was in town working with Amputee Blade Runners. Dr. Doug Magee, Head of Middle School, is friends with Joshua Southards, the executive director at ABR. Dr. Magee connected Sara McDermott '23 to ABR during her junior year at the High School after learning about her interests in biomedical engineering. Sara ended up working with ABR as a Service Scholar at Ensworth. Sara just finished her freshman year at Boston College, studying biomedical engineering. She is back working with ABR this summer.
