Class Notes

Eric Killinger ’75, independent scholar-researcher and author, had two books published at the end of 2021: the brilliant, groundbreaking study, Between the Frying Pan and the Fire: The Intermundia of Clergy Transitioning out of Parish Ministry and The Pacifica Papers: A Festschrift of Midlife Meditations and Musings Toward Celebrating a Poetics of Depth Psychology. Previous books include The Nerve of My Third Twin, which concerns dealings with the rare disorder known as classic trigeminal neuralgia, and a volume of sermons entitled A Bricoleur in the Pulpit. He is currently working on a second volume in a series of uncommon books of prayer, the first of which, Adoration in Secret: Landlocked among Poets, appeared in 2020. Relishing his relative obscurity, Eric writes and lives with his wife and their shelties in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
 
Morgan Ogilvie ’95 Morgan Ogilvie’s painting, “Ever since she was a little girl, she has always had a vivid imagination” (Oil on Canvas 2021, 20 x 11 in.) was presented in a group show entitled “Work,” curated by the artist and Calartian, Benjamin Gordon February 17th - 20th in Los Angeles, California. All of the work was by Calartians and explored painting as a medium.
 
Massey Armistead ’08 graduated with an MFA in Creative Writing from University of Memphis in December 2021. She has started her own business as a self-love and empowerment coach.
 
Molly Nesbitt Warren ’08 joined the Ensworth staff as the Assistant Director of Development and Alumni Relations.
 
Tavarres Jefferson ’09 was promoted to the role of Vice President, Operations at Riverside Community Hospital in Riverside, California.
 
Katie Osborne ’11 received her Master’s in Library and Information Studies from the University of Alabama last year and is now working as a Librarian at the Nashville Public Library. 
 
Carol Allen ’12 received her MBA from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business in May and is moving to Charlotte, NC to begin work for Campbell’s. 
 
Lauren Barnett ’12 CFA, CPA started a new position as Senior Valuation Associate at S&P Global.
 
Sally Krebs ’14 joined Nestle as a Senior Analyst on the CX Analytics team.
 
David Allen, Jr. ’15 lives in Colorado Springs and works for Northrop Grumman as a systems analyst. He is also working on his Master’s degree from Georgia Tech in computer science. David enjoys skiing, hiking, camping and climbing and he is still playing drums.   
 
Kaelene DeCoster ’16 graduated in December 2021 from Washington University in St. Louis School of Medicine with her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy.
 
John Dugan ’17 graduated from Vanderbilt with a degree in Neuroscience last spring and is starting medical school at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center this fall.
 
Rachel Barnes ’18 graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville with a BA in Modern Foreign Language in World Business- French and Int’l Retail Merchandising and a minor in Art History. This fall, she is headed to Toulouse, France to teach ESL to elementary school kids as a TA for TAPIF during the upcoming school year.
 
Josephine Bass ’18 graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Richmond with a B.A. in Leadership Studies with a double major in Psychology. She will be attending graduate school at the University of Virginia to pursue a Masters in Counselor Education. 
 
Asia Charles ’18 graduated from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville with a B.S. in Mathematics. She will be joining the Logo Brands team working in Data Analytics. 
 
Lola Duff ’18 graduated from Centre College with a B.A. majoring in Anthropology and Sociology with a minor in Education. She played for the Women’s Lacrosse team all four years, setting multiple program records during her senior season. Lola set the school record for most saves in a single game, breaking the previous ten-year old record, and also set new program records for most saves in a single season and average saves per game. She was named the Southern Athletic Association’s Defensive Player of the Week three times and was twice named to the All-SAA Conference team (2019 and 2022.) She is coaching travel lacrosse and teaching preschool in Nashville and working towards becoming a Strength and Conditioning Coach. 
 
Frances Garrard ’18 graduated from Vanderbilt University with majors in Child Development and Medicine Health & Society. Next, she will be attending NYU for a masters in Mental Health Counseling.

Jackson Jeansonne ’18 graduated from the University of Texas with a degree in Management at McCombs School of Business. He will be staying in Austin, TX working for Poncho Outdoors.
 
Liza Sweeting ’18 graduated Magna Cum Laude from Sewanee with a Bachelors of Science in Psychology and Education. She will be pursuing a Masters of Education at Vanderbilt University in Quantitative Methods and teaching pilates at Marathon Pilates in 12 South.
 
JaTorria Lee ’19 is a junior at MTSU, going into her senior year. She is studying abroad in Dakar, Senegal. Her major is child psychology and Africana studies with a minor in Spanish.
