Encore Nominated for Contemporary A Cappella Recording Award
Encore, Ensworth's high school contemporary A cappella group, has been nominated in the "Best High School Song" category of the Contemporary A Cappella Recording Awards (CARA).
The prestigious awards, sponsored by CASA: The Contemporary A Cappella Society, have been likened to the GRAMMYs of A cappella music. The CASA website states: "The annual Contemporary A cappella Recording Awards (CARA) recognize the best of recorded A cappella music. We are the only truly global A cappella recording awards. Every year since 1992, hundreds of albums are considered in this celebration of the best A cappella recorded around the planet."
CASA nominated Encore's track "Youth" from their Just Love EP. The song, written by Troye Sivan, has already been featured on the BOSHA: Best of High School A Cappella 2018 compilation album.
A red carpet awards ceremony in Boston, part of Boston Sings A Cappella Festival (BOSS) April 6–8, 2018, will serve as the venue for announcing the winners.
