Ensworth Community Lends a Hand to Best Buddies
The Ensworth community continues to make a difference through community service, helping the international charity Best Buddies through two events.
Best Buddies Friendship Walk
Members of the Ensworth Best Buddies Promoters chapter recently participated in the Best Buddies Friendship Walk in downtown Nashville. The event supports Best Buddies' mission of changing the world for people with intellectual disabilities through one-to-one friendships, supported employment and leadership development.
Best Buddies Unplugged
Two Ensworth parents are also stepping up to help Best Buddies. Hall of Fame Songwriter Desmond Child (Nyro and Roman, both 10th graders) and Grammy-Award winning Singer Amy Grant (Corinna, junior) are teaming up with Blues legend Keb Mo for the Best Buddies Unplugged Benefit Concert on Thursday day November 2nd at the Franklin Theatre.
