Middle School Final Assembly and Closing Exercises

What a week it has been for the Middle School! After final assessments, we like to take time to come together as a community before breaking for summer so that we can end on a strong note and recognize our outstanding students. On Monday, we had our Final Middle School Assembly, kickball games and an all-middle school grill out before Closing Exercises on Tuesday.
In Monday’s final assembly, the Orange and Black Captains gave their final speeches that reflected on their time here at Ensworth. Mr. Gammill then presented the Orange & Black Trophy to the winning team. This year, the Orange Team won the cup with a total of 681,110 points compared to the Black Team’s 660,919 overall points.

The Head of School Award recipients, students who have made the school’s highest honor roll, the Head’s List, for each of the four marking periods of their eighth grade year, were announced during the Final Assembly as follows: Meghan Bailey, Dax Braemer, Kylianne Broughton, Claire Chidsey, Allie Duke, Alexis Elcan, Vanessa Frigon, Annabel Frist, Jacqueline Frist, Liam Frumkin, Caroline Gracey, Claire Haley, Megan Hannon, Nell Harris, Hayden Horn, Anna Lapre, Chloe Rollins, Elizabeth Saltsman, Avery Smith, Kelile Southwell, Sachi Srivastava, and Andrew Yu.

The James N. Brown Award recipients, students who have earned all A’s in Effort and Consideration during their entire middle school careers, were announced during the Final Assembly on Monday as well. The 2017 James N.
