New Tennis Center
Ensworth’s new Tennis Center will be completed soon with six indoor courts, eight outdoor courts, and covered parking. Registration is now available to the Ensworth community and will open to the public at the beginning of March.
According to Greg Chambers, Ensworth’s Director of Tennis, “Ensworth's new Tennis Center is one of the finest facilities at any school in the country. The unique design offers natural light to the indoor courts, additional parking, meeting space, and exceptional viewing for tennis, soccer, track, and lacrosse.
In following with our mission, the new facility allows our tennis players the opportunity to use their talents to their fullest and we are reaching beyond ourselves as we will also provide tennis opportunities to our community.
Other than Ensworth MS and HS team matches, we will host TSSAA Regional Tournaments, USTA, and Universal Tennis Tournaments along with leagues and socials. I am especially excited about the viewing design. Upper-level baseline viewing behind every indoor and outdoor court is tremendous. No matter what level of player, I hope the Ensworth students and tennis players across the community will appreciate the magnificent opportunity we have to participate in the lifetime sport of tennis at such a modern venue.”
During the school year, adults will have access to the courts from 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. with limited nights and Saturdays. During the summer months, adults will have access to the courts from 9:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. depending on the student program schedules. The membership season will run from April 1 through March 21.
