Corn Elder ’13 and Dontavia Waggoner '20 Named to All-Decade Basketball Teams

Dontavia Waggoner '20 and Corn Elder ‘13 were named to the Tennessean’s All-Decade (2010-2019) Basketball Teams.
Waggoner helped lead the Lady Tigers to two state championships in 2019 and 2020, winning the coveted Miss Basketball award both years. She signed to play at NC State.

Elder was a two-sport athlete at Ensworth, helping lead the Tigers to three basketball and three football state championships, also twice winning the Tennessee Titans Mr. Football. He rushed for 2,618 yards and 39 touchdowns his senior year, finishing his Ensworth career with 6,351 rushing yards and 84 touchdowns. Corn was ranked as the 8th best athlete by 247Sports.com and No. 7 running back by Rivals.com. 

He was also initially a two-sport athlete for the University of Miami Hurricanes. Focusing on football later in his college career, Elder received First Team All-ACC honors his senior year. The Carolina Panthers selected him in the 5th round in the 2017 NFL Draft.
