Zoe Upkins Wows Judges on the Voice

Zoe Upkins, Ensworth junior, went through a blind audition on NBC's "The Voice" on Monday, October 14.
In her gripping rendition of Monica's "Angel of Mine," she convinced three of four judges to turn their chairs around. Although Blake Shelton and Kelly Clarkson both wanted her, Zoe ultimately picked John Legend after the crooner serenaded her. When she lost to her teammate in the Battle Round, Legend chose to use his one "save" on Upkins after Clarkson and Gwen Stefani moved to steal her.

No stranger to performing in front of large crowds, Zoe sang with Encore, Ensworth's contemporary a cappella group, before over 6,000 attendees at the NAIS People of Color Conference last year.
