You may hear the name of Jordan Bone '16 come up in the NBA Draft, which starts tonight at 7:30. He is the first Ensworth Tiger to participate in the draft. Most projections have him as a top round pick.
Ensworth GIrls' Lacrosse defeated Harpeth Hall 11-8 to win the 2019 Private School State Championship. The Tigers had four players selected to the All State team: Carrie Elcan, Annabel Frist, Caroline Frist, and McLean Whitson. Congratulations to Head Coach Corey Donohoe, Assistant Coaches Mia Hurrin and Kaitlyn D'Alessandro, and all the Tigers on an outstanding season!
Ensworth has announced Roc Batten as the new Head Varsity Football Coach. The appointment marks a homecoming for Batten, as he was a member of Ensworth’s faculty and staff in the high school’s early years.
Congratulations to our 2019 Tennessean All-Midstate Boys and Girls Swimming Team Selections! Kallie Chelsvig '20, state champion in the 100m freestyle and verbal commit to Notre Dame, made the All-Midstate team in the 100-yard freestyle. And in the boys' category, behind Coach of the Year Christian Bahr, Evan Petty was named 200 yard IM and 100 backstroke. The Ensworth boys filled the entire All-Midstate relays teams, the 200-yard medley, 200-yard freestyle, and the 400-yard freestyle.
The Tigers defeated Brentwood Academy 48-42 to win the 2019 TSSAA Division II AA State Championship. Ensworth finished the season with a school record 29 wins. Congratulations to Head Coach Mary Taylor Cowles, Assistant coaches Chris Brian and Krystle Horton, and all the Tigers on an outstanding season.
