Ages 3-4, Ages 4-5

This introductory class allows students to explore the world of dance by engaging in a mix of music, rhythm and movement. Students will enhance their coordination and grace as they learn the basics of ballet and tap. This class is ideal for 3-5 year olds and meets for 1 hour each week. (*Class will be held at the Red Gables Campus).

Grades K-3

Our combination classes are available for Kindergarten through Grade 3. These classes offer instruction in ballet and tap for Grades K-1 and ballet and jazz for Grades 2-3, allowing the dancer to gain an understanding of movement in these genres as suited to their age/grade level. All dancers should begin in their respective grade level’s class. Students may be allowed to move up to a more advanced level upon the teacher’s discretion.

Grades 2-3, Grades 4-5, Grades 6-8, Ages 12 and up

This beginner-intermediate level class is perfect for Broadway lovers. It will feature dances to musical theater songs while incorporating the precision, rhythm, and technique of tap dance. Students will learn agility, control and musicality in this fun & energetic dance style!

Grades 2-3, Grades 4-5, Grades 6-8

This dedicated hip hop class is designed for dancers who have a foundational understanding of hip hop dance and want to take their skills to the next level. Hip hop classes incorporate skill development, musicality, rhythm, and grooves in a fun, upbeat atmosphere. All classes and levels will use age-appropriate moves and music during class. Classes are organized by grade level, beginning with Grade 2-3. (A combination of hip hop and jazz is offered for K-1 students).

Grades 3-5

Hip Hop for Boys is a great way for boys to release energy in a creative and athletic atmosphere, while developing hip hop dance skills, musicality, rhythm, and self-esteem. Classes will include breaking moves, foundational hip hop, grooves, and choreography. 

Beginner/Intermediate Hip Hop (Ages 13+)

Build confidence, develop strong fundamentals, and have fun in this energetic hip hop class designed for dancers who love hip hop and are looking to strengthen their skills. This class is for Ages 13+. Dancers will learn foundational hip hop technique, grooves, musicality, coordination, and body control while exploring age-appropriate commercial hip hop styles. Each class includes a dynamic warm-up, strength and conditioning, grooves, and fun, engaging choreography that helps dancers grow week after week. This class is perfect for dancers who want to improve their performance quality, build confidence, and prepare for more advanced hip hop training, dance team, or performances. In a positive and encouraging environment, dancers will develop the skills needed to become stronger, more versatile performers while enjoying the energy and creativity of hip hop.

Intermediate/Advanced  Hip Hop (Ages 13+)

Intermediate/Advanced level hip hop & grooves class. This class is for students ages 13 and up. Dancers will focus on refining technique, improving precision and execution, developing freestyle skills, and learning how to perform with authenticity and confidence. Each class includes a dynamic warm-up, strength and conditioning, grooves and advanced choreography inspired by today's commercial dance industry. This class is best suited for dancers with previous hip hop experience who are ready to be challenged in a supportive, motivating environment. Whether you're preparing for dance team, competitions, auditions, or simply want to elevate your performance skills, Int/Advanced Hip Hop will push you to grow as both a dancer and an artist.

Grades K, Grade 1, Grade 2, Grade 3, Grades 4-5

In this tumble/cheer combination class, students will build on the basics of tumbling and acrobatics by incorporating balance, strength, and control into age-appropriate skills that build onto developing skills. Students will learn fundamentals of cheer, including basic stunting, pom motions, jumps, chants and cheers. Skill level and prior experience may determine a student’s class placement.

Grades 4-8

The Jazz/Contemporary combo class will explore jazz and contemporary dance styles throughout the year on a rotational basis. Students will work to develop the principles of jazz technique, musicality, footwork, and style as well as the principles of contemporary dance, including body control, partnering, and self-expression. This class will perform one (or up to two) routines in the concert. In the event that the class performs more than one routine in the concert, an additional costume payment will be required.

Grades 4-5, Grades 6-8, Grades 9-12

Ballet Technique and Flexibility is a foundational class that provides dancers a structured approach to improving alignment, strength, flexibility, control and technique—all essential elements for a well-rounded dancer. This class pairs well with the Leaps, Turns and Skills class providing the building blocks necessary for skill development and artistry. In addition to traditional barre and center work, instructors will incorporate focused training to enhance flexibility and injury prevention.

Grades 4-5, Grades 6-8

Turns, Leaps and Skills class focuses on the technical elements of jazz that are commonly used in intermediate-advanced choreography. With a focus on proper placement and body control, students will work on individual skills and across the floor combinations to enhance their transitions in and out of each skill. This class pairs well with the Ballet Technique and Flexibility class to further develop the building blocks necessary for skill development and artistry. Turns, Leaps and Skills is a required class for dance team members. Registration priority will be given to team members first, and if space is available, additional spots may be added.

Grades 9-12

This blended style of dance incorporates elements of ballet, jazz, and modern techniques that allow for versatility of movement and creativity. Classes involve elements of partnering, floor work, improvisational exercises, storytelling and emotional self-expression. Each class will include a proper warm up, across the floor exercises, isolations, improv and choreography.

Beginner/Intermediate Jazz (Ages 13+)

Dancers will develop essential jazz technique, including proper alignment, flexibility, strength, turns, leaps, kicks, and musicality. Each class includes a dynamic warm-up, across-the-floor progressions, center combinations, conditioning, and engaging choreography inspired by contemporary and commercial jazz styles. This class is perfect for dancers looking to improve their technique, gain confidence, and prepare for dance team, performances, or more advanced training. In a supportive and motivating environment, dancers will develop coordination, performance quality, and the technical skills needed to become strong, versatile jazz dancers.

Intermediate/Advanced Jazz (Ages 13+)

Dancers will focus on advanced jazz technique, including precision, control, flexibility, strength, turns, leaps, kicks, dynamic movement quality, and musicality. Each class includes a comprehensive warm-up, conditioning, across-the-floor progressions, and challenging choreography inspired by contemporary, commercial, and theatrical jazz styles. This class is ideal for dancers with previous jazz experience who are preparing for dance team, or higher level dance opportunities. In a supportive, yet challenging environment, dancers will strengthen their technical abilities, expand their artistic expression, and develop the confidence and versatility needed to perform at a high level. 

Dance Team Prep class is designed for Grade 3 students who are interested in building the skills and confidence needed for future dance team opportunities. Dancers will focus on precision jazz style and technique to boost power, strength, and flexibility, while also learning fun combinations that promote performance quality and team spirit. This class will perform a routine in the spring dance concert.
