Chess Club is an opportunity for K-5 students to learn the basics of chess at every skill level in a fun and entertaining way! Grades will be split up between K-1 and 2-5 so that each group has coaching tailored to their grade level. Each student will also receive a paid Gold Membership to ChessKid.com- a 100% safe and educational chess-playing site. We will create an Ensworth Online Club at the site to keep the fun going, whether we play chess in person or online!
Spanish Club (Grades 1-3)

Spanish club is a great opportunity for students to learn more about the Spanish language and Hispanic culture. We will explore these topics through games, crafts, dancing, and more!
Guitar Class (Grades 3-5)
Time: 3:15 - 4:15 p.m.

Cost: $300 (10 Sessions)
Students will learn the basics of guitar through the introduction of reading and fun music exercises. Students will learn chords, strumming patterns, scales, guitar notations, and more! Classes are fun and educational! Our class will perform a short concert for family and friends at the end of the semester. Tuition includes folder/music; it does not include the cost of the guitar.
Violin Class: Level 1 (Grades 3-5)

Cost: $300 (10 Sessions)
Violin Class: Level 1 is open to any rising Grade 3 through Grade 5 students who would like to learn to play the violin. Students will learn the fundamentals of posture, violin sound production, and how to read formal music notation. The curriculum is rooted in traditional and classical methods and mixed with engaging activities. The class will focus on sight-reading, rhythmic independence, and language development, along with phrasing and overall musicality. Students will showcase a short performance for family and friends at the end of the semester.

Sessions will consist of instruction, discussion, and application of skills related to building and maintaining friendships. Students will get to play different games each week as an opportunity to use these tools and receive coaching from the Lower School counselor. Examples of topics that will be covered are sharing, apologizing, and joining others in activities. Limited to 10 students.
Comic Con" (Grades 1- 3)

Do you like to draw? Do you want to know how to draw all the things? Grab a pencil and your sketchbook, and join Mrs. LeDuc for a fun class where you will learn how to make what you love come to life. Each week will center around a different theme with so many new details to draw! (Limited to 16 students)
Clay! Let’s Make Magical Woodland Fairy Houses or Tiny Troll Houses (Grades 3-4)

Let’s dive into clay and make whimsical and enchanting mini woodland fairy houses or a mossy tiny house for a troll. Miniature in size yet packed with details, like a roof that is a mushroom, flower, leaf, or acorn, add tiny pebble paths, log fires, gardens, and colorful mushrooms! Get creative and ready for an engaging clay project. I’ve already made about 15 and want to make more with you! If you saw the Kindergarten Fairy garden houses by the Red Gables lobby, then you see how magical and fun this project can be!
