Tyra Gittens Wins NCAA Women’s Pentathlon Championship

Tyra Gittens ‘17 placed 1st in both Pentathlon and High Jump at the NCAA Division I Indoor Track and Field Championships as a member of the Texas A&M Aggies team. 
She placed 3rd in Long Jump. Her Pentathlon score of 4,746 is a collegiate, facility, and the country record for her native Trinidad and Tobago. The performance earned her the NCAA National Field Athlete of the Year award.

At Ensworth, Gittens broke numerous school and state records, winning 1st in Pentathlon, 200M Dash, Long Jump, High Jump, and 100M Hurdles two years in a row.
