High School Recognizes Student Academic Achievement

The High School awards Optime Merens, bar pins, and Cum Laude to students every year. Check out the list of students who achieved each of these honors for the 2019-2020 academic year, including the Class of 2021 book awards.
Ensworth recognizes and celebrates academic achievement by conferring the following awards to students in Grades 9-12:

Optime Merens awards are granted to students who earn an overall GPA of at least 90 for all of their academic courses in a semester and who have no individual academic semester grade below 80.

Bar Pins are given to students who earn Optime Merens consecutively. Students who achieve Optime Merens for both semesters of one school year are awarded
one-bar pins; students for both semesters of two years two-bar pins; students for three years three-bar pins.

Students who earn Optime Merens for all eight semesters in Grades 9 through 12 are awarded
four-bar pins.

Cum Laude
awards are given to students who are enrolled in at least two academic semesters in one year in a particular department and who earn a GPA of at least 95 for all courses in that department that year.
