Lifetime fitness is a state of mind—and body—at Ensworth.

 

All students take a Fitness course each semester that meets three or four times per week for 45 or 50 minutes during the academic school day. This course consists of a fitness program tailored to the individual fitness needs of each student and is designed to optimize student’s physical and mental development. Students are challenged to improve flexibility, strength and cardiovascular endurance, and overall body composition by participating in various activities such as multiple weightlifting movements, speed and agility development, mobility exercises, yoga, mindfulness, swimming, cardiovascular workouts, and nutritional education. Each student’s program is designed and overseen by a professional fitness instructor with the proper background and expertise in fitness.
