A Letter from the Head of School

Welcome to Ensworth!

One of the first things you will notice at Ensworth is that our school is a joyful place. Whether you are walking our halls, having a meal around a table, watching a class discussion, or attending an event after school, you will find students and faculty who greet you warmly and who welcome you into our school, one that is characterized both by its pursuit of excellence and its inclusive culture.

Our vision statement describes “a school where a deep sense of community and belonging pervades all aspects of school life, where all members participate in a broad array of diverse activities both in and out of the classroom, and where collaboration, integration, and tradition thrive.” Ensworth lives into this vision. Our dynamic faculty and staff develop the whole child through robust academic, artistic, and athletic offerings in a community built upon strong relationships and partnerships with families. Our skills-based pedagogy and commitment to discussion and collaboration in the classroom produce confident students who communicate well, both as active listeners and as articulate contributors.

“Our people are the heart of our school, and the relationships formed here provide the foundation for excellence inside and outside the classroom.”

Ensworth is a place for students to grow in their abilities and pursue their passions, as they are empowered to be involved in all aspects of community life and lead our school. Our artistic, athletic, and co-curricular programs are some of the finest in the region, and our students benefit from state-of-the-art facilities and talented and committed teachers, coaches, and staff. Our people are the heart of our school, and the relationships formed here provide the foundation for excellence inside and outside the classroom.

After exploring our website, I hope you will find time to schedule a visit to our campuses and see Ensworth in action. We are a dynamic, active place, and I am confident you will leave your visit invigorated and excited about what Ensworth can offer your family.

We look forward to welcoming you.
