|Chess Club - Gr. 1-5|
Ensworth After School Chess Club
Chess Club meets on Tuesdays 3-4 PM. Interested students in grades 1-5 who are new to the club are welcome to attend the first few meetings to see if they would like to join before making a commitment. Please notify your child’s homeroom teacher if she or he will be remaining and also note plans for hookup or Aftercare at 4:00 pm.
You are welcome to contact Bruce Libonn with any questions about Chess Club.
|Climbing Club - Grades 6-8|
Ensworth is offering Climbing Club during late fall and winter. We are excited at the opportunity to share their enjoyment of rock climbing with sixth, seventh and eighth graders.
We will be meeting on Wednesday starting in early October at Climb Nashville, an indoor rock climbing gym near Ensworth. During this six week season, students will have opportunities to build, strengthen, and advance their skills as rock climbers, while learning good communication, listening, and team work skills. Josh Harris, the director of Instruction for Climb Nashville, and Mr. Reveal will be working together to teach these skills. Students will rock climb, learn to belay, improve their climbing techniques, learn climbing terms, rappel, ascend, boulder, and have fun.
As Ensworth School has sponsored this event, there is no cost to attend. Students are expected to follow the Athletic Code of Conduct and represent Ensworth proudly during this activity. If students are unable to abide by these expectations, they will be asked to leave.
If you have any questions or concerns, please call or email Mr. Reveal at 615.491.6051 or email@example.com.

|Robotics Club/ STEM@ensworth|We are excited to kick off our new STEM@ensworth program with the return of a revamped Robotics Club featuring a new Lego brick and programming software, smaller classes to allow more one-on-one instruction, and a more flexible schedule to provide additional opportunities for your child to participate in afternoon STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) enrichment.
Robotics Level 1 will begin on September 30 and run in the Middle School science labs on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:00 - 4:00pm. Each class is restricted to 10 students
, grades 3 through 8 , so be sure to use the online registration system to reserve spots early. As we get a better handle on demand for this course, additional classes will be added to the schedule.
Additionally, once we are confident that the kinks have been worked out of our online enrollment system, watch for new, challenging courses in electronics, computer programming, and math enrichment to go live (I am shooting for mid-November).
To sign up, login at ensworth.com. Click on "Resources" in the top menu, and then click on the robot. You should be taken to an online enrollment system where you can:
(1) Add YOUR contact information to create your family's main account.
(2) Add your child(ren) to your account.
(3) Find classes that work with your schedule, and sign up each child.
