Leadership Opportunities

Students at Ensworth have many opportunities to be leaders and to work together with others to achieve goals. These opportunities occur regularly in collaborative projects in the classroom, in team settings on the athletic fields and courts, and in the production of arts performances on the stage.

In Middle School, all students may join the Student Council. Officers are elected, and the In Middle School, all students may join the Student Council. Officers are elected, and the Council works to organize social and community-building events as well as service opportunities for 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students. Four 8th grade students are elected each year to serve as Captains of their respective Orange and Black (for the school colors) teams, encouraging healthy competition, school spirit,  and good sportsmanship.

At Ensworth High School, numerous leadership opportunities are offered in areas from Student Government to clubs to athletics and arts. The Student Government is based upon a constitution developed by the students. Each class elects a speaker and representatives, and the entire body is led by a president and vice-president. The student newspaper, yearbook, Service Club, and many other interest-based clubs and activities offer additional leadership positions.

Students at EHS are assigned to one of four "houses" that compete for the Devon Trophy each year. The Houses are each led by two students, elected by the members. Houses compete in Homecoming float design, Spirit Week contests, and other activities designed to promote school spirit and team collaboration.
