Crossroads Pets

Crossroads Campus provides paid job training in pet-related careers, affordable housing, social-emotional support systems, and life coaching to break the cycle of poverty among young adults. They partner with a bunch of other organizations including Metro Animal Control, Monroe Harding, and Boys & Girls Club. I worked with them this summer during a paid internship and really loved their mission and what they're trying to accomplish. I was able to see firsthand how Crossroads changed people's lives for the better.

Because of this, I decided to do my service hours there as well. They focus on job training for impoverished youth while also helping find homes for dogs and cats. They provide affordable housing for youth in their program as well. As a result of my experience with this organization, I'm going to research wealth inequality and ways to help impoverished youth through job training and networking.
