What is your favorite thing about teaching?

“My favorite part about teaching occurs when students are able to use and apply the tools I have taught them to a wide array of challenges. They enjoy sharing their solutions to a problem. I especially love it when they come up with a strategy that I haven't even thought of.”
Why do you like Ensworth?
“Ensworth is a place that supports the growth of the whole child. It's not just about academics or manners or learning how to be kind to each other or sports. It's about how to make each child the best he or she can be in each of these areas. Everyone is different and we respect and celebrate these differences because they make our lives richer.”

What is your favorite spot in Nashville?
“My favorite spot in Nashville is walking and biking the Nashville Greenways.”

If you could travel anywhere this summer, where would it be and why?
We are traveling to Hawaii this summer. We hope to take a cruise around the islands, visit Pearl Harbor and experience the history that was created there, drive up to the top of a volcano, and bike down to the beach.”

What is a goal you have for 2017 regarding your students?
“I hope my students enjoy learning, rise to academic challenges, never stop taking the opportunity to learn from their mistakes, take every opportunity to be kind to one another and are thankful for the wonderful opportunities that they have each and every day!”
