The Ensworth School promotes academic excellence and inspires students to be intellectually curious, to use their talents to the fullest, to be people of integrity, and to be contributors to society.
Ensworth School is a child-centered, coeducational environment where young students are encouraged to explore, to grow, to be curious and to develop a strong foundation of learning skills; where middle school students are challenged to develop their abilities and talents, to grow as contributing members of a learning community, and to develop important life skills; where high school students are challenged to take advantage of a comprehensive curriculum of academic courses, athletic opportunities, and extra-curricular activities in preparation for college.
Ensworth seeks to bring together students who are ready for the challenges and opportunities of its programs. Admissions procedures are designed to look for evidence of characteristics needed for happiness and success in the Ensworth community. We hope the process is equally helpful to families and students trying to determine if Ensworth is an appropriate school for them. We look for applicants who will contribute to the school and show good character, emotional maturity, intellectual ability, and curiosity. The Admissions Committee primarily uses the application, student visits, parent meetings, teacher recommendations, transcripts, and test results to determine whether a student is offered admission to the school.
Applicants are encouraged for all grade levels; kindergarten (Pre-First Grade), 7th grade, and 9th grade are key entry points at The Ensworth School.
