Lana Dismukes

I am doing my Service Scholar Project with E.L.I.’s House. E.L.I.s House is a nonprofit that works with women, and their children, who are victims of trauma to help get them on the right track to independent lives. I plan to research to identify some of the struggles of mothers and how the trauma affects both the mother and the children as well as options to help them get back on their feet. I am going to contribute by going to E.L.I.'s house and helping with the kids as well as the women firsthand. I picked E.L.I.’s house because their mission really stood out to me, and I want to make a difference and grow relationships with the women and children there.
